WRITER’S BLOCK #3

George Spencer

Once the devil was young and playful. The sea was high and happy. Now the house is full of plastic furniture and cheap paintings. And window dressings. That, horn-tooting, and other outrages. So what to do? Read your shopping list out loud in yoga class? Remember, someone’s sweet tooth is another’s sour taste. It thunders. The moon’s smirk reflects off the rippled river’s plastic face. It knows life’s tragic. It ends. Triage, triage, triple triage. Misery’s the Muse’s mother. But once you get the joke it all makes sense. All’s rivers of tears that starts at the tunnel of love. Circular.
